Is there any difference between energy engineering and environmental engineering?

Question: Is there any difference between energy engineering and environmental engineering?

Answer: There is quite a big difference between these two branches of engineering, but I can understand why you might feel that they are the same, as energy does, of course, impact the environment.  Energy engineering is more concerned with energy transfer, the utilization and limitations of different energy sources, solar radiation geometry, and similar topics. Although it probably touches on sustainability and environmentalism, it is less concerned about this than environmental engineering Environmental engineering, on the other hand, is mostly concerned with sustainability, protecting the environment from people and, conversely, protecting people from the environment. It doesn’t exclusively focus on the impacts of energy sources. Unlike energy engineering, environmental engineering is a branch of civil engineering and as such is offered by companies like Considine, a group of civil engineers in Maidstone, Kent.
